Fuel the Ride: Empower Youth Through Outdoor Adventure

We are working to raise $25,000 by March 13th to qualify for a matching grant, and every donation counts right now.

Transportation is essential to GO programs. Our current van is aging, has limited capacity, and is near the end of its life. If it fails, programs could be reduced or paused, limiting access for families and youth.

Founded in 2016, the GO Initiative empowers youth through outdoor recreation with a focus on confidence, leadership, mental health, and community stewardship. GO Girls serves girls ages 7 to 14 and has filled to capacity every summer for the past five years. In 2025, we introduced a co-ed SHRED camp, which brings boys back into the fold and offers the flexibility many need to curate one-off summer planning.

  • 98% report positive personal impact
  • Programs have sold out in the past 5 years
  • 30 to 40 youth are served each summer
  • 8 community partnerships

  • Safely transport more youth to trailheads
  • Expand access to trails across the valley
  • Reduce safety risks and downtime
  • Support growth to serve up to 120 youth annually

We are raising $75,000 for a new (to us) 12-passenger van, bike racks, wrap, and maintenance.

Raising $25,000 by March 13 qualifies GO to apply for grants requiring a match.

This investment protects programs that are working, growing, and changing lives while ensuring continued access to outdoor adventure for Gunnison Valley youth.
